Method

  1. Make deep cuts all over the chicken to allow the marinade to penetrate

  2. In a bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, oil, chilli powder, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, chaat masala, and salt.

  3. Coat the chicken thoroughly with the marinade.

  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight.

  5. Steam the marinated chicken until almost fully cooked.

  6. Heat oil for deep frying or preheat the oven for roasting.

  7. Fry or roast the chicken until the skin becomes crispy and golden brown.

  8. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  9. Garnish with onion rings, fresh coriander, and lemon wedges.

  10. Serve hot with naan, fries, raita, and salad.
